Final Day of Arty

Today was my final day working on the arty animation. I finished weight painting, which was much easier to do since I had worked a little with I already. I also bound the robot skin to the joints and moved them to fit the model a bit better. I liked how I was able to bind the skins to the joints with almost no issues. I did have some slight issue with UV’s but it was just an icon difference with the tutorial using an older version of Maya. I think that my organization was a bit messy, but other than that I did not have much issues. I learned a lot about how to make a more effective animation from this project.

Crane Animation Complete

This Animation took a lot of time and effort to get working properly. In this I learned a lot about how to animate through rigging. I learned how to set up joint for an object properly. I also learned how to weight paint, which was very difficult. In addition to that I learned how to set keyframes on  a rigged object. I like how the animation turned out, although I wish I could of made it more complex.

Final Drone Day

Today was my last day working on the drone. Throughout the course I learned many techniques that will help me with working on future projects. A very useful thing I learned was how to use NURBS shapes and how to work with them. Another Useful thing I learned was how to more effectively use the insert edge loop tool by modifying its settings. I also learned how to shape typology to be more squared when smoothing polygons. In addition to that I learned how to make depressions in objects using booleans tool. Along with that I learned how to make more complex shapes. Capture56
